The HIAB XS 111 picker truck is one of the newest additions in the 8 to 11 tonne metre class. It’s one of the toughest mid capacity range cranes that’s able to withstand grapple work and digging in tough environments, while providing consistent and precise performance. And it’s available with multiple control systems including the B–2 Duo, B–3 Duo, B–3 HiDuo and E–5 HiDuo, while coming with a range of performance enhancing features.
This HIAB XS 111 picker truck comes with E-link, which is an inner boom link that enables the crane to lift heavy material close to the column, while the outer boom link enables the operator to lift loads to higher levels. Since it does not extend out below the boom link, it does not impact or obstruct the load below it. For extra stability, rack and pinion slewing is placed close to the centerline, enabling the HIAB XS 111 to have equal outreach on both sides of the crane.
The slewing itself is placed in an oil bath for smooth, precise operation, as well as long-term savings on both repair and servicing costs, while extending the life of the crane. The HiDuo control system that’s used in the XS 111 crane is based on HIAB’s Valve 80 technology, providing reliability and precision during tough operations.
The XS 111 crane promises superior control over electronic utilities since it includes the SPACE 4000 system. To maximize both safety and productivity, the SPACE 4000 utilizes the XSDrive remote control. The XSDrive provides vital indicators and information while allowing the operator to carry out several functions quickly and easily, minimizing physical stress on the operator.
To ensure that the HIAB XS 111 is balanced and supported extremely well at all times, the crane includes a hexagonal boom with a large support surface area. This design minimizes boom deflection, while maximizing efficiency. To minimize friction and maintenance costs, large slide pads are included on the HIAB XS 111, while a wide range of attachable tools make the crane one of the most versatile cranes in its class.
